Yellow Classroom Happenings

Classroom Happenings:

In February, we learned more about how to be a good friend by making and giving friendship cards to give to our Purple Room friends.  We spent time learning about our teeth and how to keep them healthy.  We had a visitor from All Grins tell us about going to the dentist.  We were so excited to get new electric toothbrushes!  Thank you to Lily and her family for providing the toothbrushes.  We also celebrated Dr. Seuss’ Birthday by reading many of his books.  We discovered that there are many rhyming words in Dr. Seuss’ books.  We especially liked making the special snacks.  We ate green eggs and made fruit kabobs in the striped pattern of the Cat and the Hat’s hat using bananas and strawberries.

This month, we will continue our in-depth study about boats.  We will be working cooperatively to make a big class boat, sing songs, and perform experiments to investigate and learn even more about boats.
